It may only be possible to grasp the horror of this movie by imagining it came off the drawing board as a parody. Then somewhere along the way (anywhere but Romania where the filmmakers have clearly never set foot) it was re-envisioned as an actual monster flick. This was a terrible turn. For once you’ve made the life-sized blood-mouthed vampire nun prop you gotta use it. And the middle schoolers hired to (re?)script this thing were none too focused. The deadly secret of the cursed abbey is not so much revealed as flat-out announced. Please spare yourself this unholy movie mess.
